Algeria-EU/FM Medelci agrees with Štefan Füle on creating a political dialogue committee

Algeria and the European Union agreed to hold the fourth session of negotiations on the revision of the customs’ calendar at the beginning of the June, FM Mourad Medelci said here on Monday.

  “Delegations of both parties will be mandated to complete negotiations on the revision of customs’ calendar”, Medelci added during a joint press conference with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Štefan Füle.

“We agreed last year on the principle of creating, for the first time, a sub-committee for political dialogue between Algeria and the EU and today we have taken a formal decision to establish this committee”, he asserted.  

“This committee will be, starting from today, formalized in order to provide a framework for permanent consultation between Algeria and the EU on political issues, security and human rights”.
