Previously, seven people had been arrested for working for terror support cells in Algiers.

Three terrorists were planning to create cells in Algiers. Security forces recovered propaganda documents and letters and coded circulars as communication means between the cells

According to security sources, terrorists penetrate to the areas of Bach Djerrah, El Harrach and places next to Hussein Dey in Algiers to contact new terror support cells. They were planning to put bombs in the State’s important institutions and police stations.

A terrorist told investigators those groups were planning to set up a central base in Bach Djerrah as it an important point in Algiers.

Investigations show that terror support cells were going to recruit about 200 people and assign them to spy on official and governmental institutions and police stations in Algiers.

Terrorist groups put pressure on some young men in popular areas such as Oued Ouchayeh, Bavh Djerrah and Berraki. Of them, there are jobless people.

A terrorist from berraki told investigators terrorist armed groups were thinking of using drug with terror support cells to ensure their permanent service in return for drug.

Terrorist groups run the risk and entered Algiers as they needed food and information about targeted places.

An emergency meeting was held in Bach Djerrah. That helped security forces in foiling a plan targeting the State’s big institutions based in Algiers.

The five terrorists were put in temporary prison. An investigation was opened with them for belonging to dangerous elements in mountains, planning bombings, exploiting young people to transfer news and information and recruiting other elements.
