Algeria’s government projects will not be affected by the financial crisis, Finance Minister said Saturday.

“There is no way to stop or to hinder the execution of projects listed in the State budget,” Karim Djoudi said when asked whether the world financial crisis could have an impact on the projects.

“Equipment program and the government’s action plan will be maintained,” he told a news conference in Algiers.

According to Djoudi, the decisions taken by the government have come up with protection elements on immediate impact of the financial crisis.

Those protection elements make the national economy “absorb” on short term the effects of the world financial crisis, he said.
