Algeria : kids trained to become future rescuers
In a first move of its kind, Algiers civil protection department started a rescue and first aid training campaign for some 160 kids aged between 8 and 14. The operation is due to be extended to all the sea side towns across the country.

The operation started on August 26 to last till the end of October, as 22 kids started their training session in the port of Algiers, where they were taught by highly skilled scuba divers how to deal with drowned people and the basic rules to follow during the rescue operation.
