Algeria / Lifting of monopoly on alcohol products for industrial and pharmaceutical use.

The Finance Ministry has announced in a press release the lifting of the monopoly imposed, so far, by the Custom’s General Management on alcohol products destined to industrial and pharmaceutical use.

• The Finance Ministry defined, to this effect, the new regulations regarding the production, the import, the export and the commercialisation of pure alcohol.
•  It should be noted that this vital product is widely used in industrial production units as well as in all the hospitals and health facilities across the country.
