Algeria may face Germany, Brazil, Spain, England and France

Algeria national team may play against the same teams they faced in the last world cup. Qualified teams to the world cup 2014 in Brazil will be divided into four levels. The Algerian players may play against the first level teams which include Brazil, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Uruguay.

Brazil defeated Algeria for four times in 1965, 1973, 1986 and 2007 respectively.

The draw may also come up with a revenge match between Algeria and Germany following Algeria’s historic victory over Germany as part of 1982’s world cup in Spain.

Another revenge match may be played with Spain as it excluded Algeria from qualifying to the second round as part of 1986’s world cup in Mexico.

Algeria will not face African teams in the first round while it will not play against Chili which was defeated in 1982.

Fans hope Algeria to play against Switzerland, Honduras and Bosnia

A game against Italy or Portugal would be very interesting for Algerian fans who believe in their players’ capacity to face the strongest teams. Others hope that the national team will be in the same group with France.

Social media websites show that most of the fans want that Algeria to play against Switzerland, Honduras and Bosnia. They believe that they are “easy” teams compared to others. That would give more chances to Algeria to qualify  at least to the second round in the world cup for the first time.
