Algeria: Nation Council investigates in government program implementation
President of the Nation Council, Abdelkader Ben Saleh

Algeria's Nation Council Bureau asked presidents of its parliamentary committees to present written proposals on projects and fields they want to lead an investigation on them in provinces. The investigations would check how much the government's program which was approved by the Parliament is executed.

According to parliamentary officials, the proposals include names of parliamentarians who will work in teams and each of them will be assigned to investigate in a determined social or economic sector.

Commenting on the topic, the eminemnt member of the National Liberation Front (FLN) Abdellah Boussenane said there is no exception in the visits which will be “inspection tours in different provinces by parliamentary teams from different political colors in the Nation Council

.”

“The parliamentarians will meet local authorities and examine how much the governmental program is making progress in certain economic sectors,” he said.Final reports are expected to be submitted to the Nation Council following those moves to draw “remarks and recommendations”. For his part, Boussenane did not deny that those reports “may be followed by hearing sessions to the two concerned sectors ministers to ask them on the report.”
