Judicial sources from the El Harrach court have revealed that a group of counterfeiters and swindlers of African origin have recently been arrested before being brought to justice by the security services.

These African immigrants of Niger and Malian nationalities were specialised in smuggling, forgery of foreign currency as well as in falsification of official documents.

During their arrest, the police investigators discovered in a rented villa located in Bab Ezzouar district on the eastern outskirts of Algiers, a large quantity of faked documents, forged Euros and equipment used for the printing of forged identity papers with official seals to boot.

These counterfeiters have succeeded, within just a few months, in swindling and ripping off a number of credulous Algerian citizens by notably posing as renowned African sportsmen having high level connections.
