Algeria: over 650 kg of drug seized
The National Gendarmerie forces in Bejaia province (east of Algeria) seized more than 650 kg of drugs after seven new farms of cannabis farms had been discovered in forest and mountainous terrains.

Commander of the Provincial Group of the Gendarmerie told Echorouk that these farms were discovered through intelligence and citizens’ cooperation. “They were telling us about any suspicious areas where cannabis could be cultivated.”

He added that the new fact is that people cultivate cannabis inside their homes’ gardens after isolating walls by putting large cropping to conceal what is cultivated.
