Algeria/ Parliament’s Employees get salaries despite shirking work.

According to official documents of which Echorouk got a copy, the administrative department of the National Popular Assembly or lower house of parliament is beset by creeping money scandals and drifts of a manifold nature.

• Echorouk has learnt on the basis of these documents that most of the employees of this parliamentary structure, which is located in the district of “Ruisseau” in central Algiers, shun willingly their daily work but receive, all the same, a hefty monthly salary in addition to various incentives and social benefits.
• They also benefit from daily catering, free of charge, from a modern restaurant on the spot adding to the runaway and uncontrolled daily expenditures.
