Algeria: pilgrims wonder about official cost

Algerian pilgrims who were selected in a drawing of lots on Thursday are still wondering about how much they should pay for their pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia this year. The government has not announced the exact cost yet.

For his part, the director of the Pilgrimage National Bureau told Echorouk that a press conference would be organised in the following days to answer all questions.

On the other hand, officials believe that the price would slightly raise. “But there will not be a big raise,” said the director of the Pilgrimage National Bureau.

Some of the candidates for pilgrimage say they are ready to give up the “life’s trip” if they can not afford the cost.
