Algeria plays Benin to prepare Rwanda.

The Algerian national squad is playing Benin in a friendly ahead of the upcoming matches counting for the combined qualifying fixtures for the World and African Cup of Nations.

  • The Algerian head Coach Rabah Saadane will seize the occasion to select the fittest players and make the final touches concerning the technical aspects pending the next official match against Rwanda slated for the end of April.
  • Among the players who will be the attraction of the day, is undeniably Sienna’s forward Ghazal who will make his first appearance before the Algerian fans in Tchaker stadium, Blida.
  •  Zahir Djelloul: “The match against Benin will be a genuine test before Rwanda”
  • The coach assistant, Zahir Djelloul has declared that the fixture against Benin is top important as it comes just before the decisive match against Rwanda, that’s why, he added, the players will take seriously this match and will do their utmost.
  • For his part, Benin Coach Michel Dussuie declared that he will try to reconsider his defence system that he considers is the weakest part of its team since the squad lost with a heavy score to Egypt previously.
  • Benin will also take part in the third round of the qualifying matches for the World and African Cup of Nations.
