Algeria: police chief caught red-handed for corruption

General Department of National Security decided to dismiss and prosecute the president of third urban security at Algiers' provincial security department for corruption, according to reliable sources.

The suspect who was caught red-handed by camera asked a man to pay 2,000 Algerian dinars as corruption to settle his documents, the same sources told Echorouk.

 Previously, Colonel Ali Tounsi, General Director of National Security stressed the fight against corruption among police officers.“The fight against corruption starts from the police and no place from corrupted in it,” he said.
