Algeria : power cuts spark anger among population

Several regions all over the country witnessed recurrent power cuts causing a lot of troubles for citizens amid scorching temperatures, which hit record high reaching 50° in some regions transforming peoples’ everyday life to hell.

• As a direct consequence to this problem, people took to the streets in some regions to express their anger and denounce this situation, blaming the Algerian energy company for not being able to fulfil its commitments towards its clientele, especially that power cuts occur without prior warnings.
