Algeria / Proposals for blueprint law to be conveyed to Education Ministry before new academic year.

A spokesman for the National Union of education employees and training has affirmed that the Union has worked out a set of proposals which will be conveyed shortly to the National Education Ministry for the drafting of a brand – new blueprint law related to the Education sector.

•  Messaoud Amraoui said that these proposals, called for by the ministerial department, would be transmitted by the Union before the start of the new school year 2008 – 2009.
• The new blueprint law which is to be enacted in the very near future, in line with a Presidential decree, will define clearly the professional status of the teachers including all their right and duties in the framework of their profession.
