Specialists in the field of health said the prevalence of food intoxications during the summer times is the result of many factors, including lack of awareness among the citizens, because they don’t take the precautionary measures, as well as the traders who do not respect the conditions of conservation of products, confirming that children and people who live with chronic diseases and elderly are the core victims of food intoxications.

Dr. Elias Mrabet, leading member in the association of public health practitioners said the insistence of the traders and owners of shops to refuse taking into account the conditions of hygiene and standards of conservation, particularly for products which are quickly damaged, as well as the almost lack of control, all are factors that contributed to the incidence of food intoxications during the summer, because of the higher degrees which need strict measures that must be respected when putting the products for sale, practically carbonated drinks and juices.
