Algeria reduces job application documents

Algerian public service reform ministry will reduce the number of documents required in job applications in public enterprises and administrations. 1pplications will include a “written request, national card copy, degree copy, scores document and a form either on paper or on public service website: www.concours-fonction publique.gov.dz or www.dgrp.gov.dz.”

“After fixing the list of selected applicants, they will have to complete their applications in conformity with the law,” said the ministry in a release on Thursday.

The government banned the national service card from applications while the minister started reviewing examination test procedures.

Figures show that about a million of students graduate from Algerian universities. They face bureaucracy in applying for jobs.

Earlier, the Algerian interior minister said 50 percent of documents required in applications are not based on any legal texts. He announced that they will be reduced to 30 percent.

The minister gave instructions to ministers and prefects to take a set of measures to eliminate bureaucracy and ease procedures for people.
