Security forces in Blida province (70 km west of Algiers) have suspended about 30 persons belonging to terror support cell of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) mostly working in free trade and business.

  • Relevant sources to investigation said that dismantling this cell and arresting a “large number” of those involved who are suspected of belonging to terrorist groups, came after a series of statements made by 4 youngsters were arrested for connection with a supporting network in “Bougarra” (Blida).
  • According to different security investigations “Errouji” seeks to revive GIA terrorist group accompanied by a group of some released men under the Charter for Peace and maybe he was able to recruit some of them.
  • Corroborating local sources in Medea province (west of Algeria) have confirmed that the named Abdelkader Sadouki is reviving the Islamic Armed Group “GIA” in the zone which was a stronghold of this terrorist organization before its elimination. That explains the emergence of terror support networks after a period of stability in the region after a series of massacres and terrorist attacks.
