Algeria, Saudi and Qatari axis to topple The Egyptian’s presidency of the Arab League

The chairman of Foreign Affairs Council at the Algerian parliament Abdelahamid Si Afif has declared that all the conditions are assembled to initiate the principle of the rotating presidency at the Arab League, adding that the Egyptian hegemony on this institution is over.

• He also added that new political coalitions have emerged in the Arab region including Qatar, which played the host for an extraordinary Summit in a recent past, in addition to Algerian and Saudi Arabia.
• The Algerian proposal to rotate the presidency of the Arab League as part of the project of the reformation of this institution has been widely supported by the other Arab countries, the official has indicated.
• Replying to Echourouk concerning the latest declarations made by the Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abu Al Gheidh in which he ruled out this option, Si Affif has indicated” Abu Al Gheidh is only responsible for his declarations because Egypt has lost its alleged hegemony and must report to the other members on the outcome of its presidency over this League”.
