Algeria : security measures to be amplified security in Boumerdes

In a bid to prevent further terrorist attacks during the holy month of Ramadan, local authorities decided to implement impressive security measures to secure the city of Boumerdes.

• More than 15 additional military check points were set up across the main roads in addition to a thorough and systematic checking  of all vehicles going in and out the city.
• A vast military operation is underway in the upper regions of the city namely; Lekkata, Thenia, sid Ali Bounab, sidi Daoud and Taouergua where heavy military equipment is used including air strikes to destroy the remnant terrorists hideouts .
