Algeria sets up independent body to counter evangelisation phenomenon

It has been announced that the religious affairs ministerial department has recently set up a national independent body in charge of countering the creeping evangelisation phenomenon in Algeria which has taken alarming proportions over the past few years.The members of this committee have already put the final touches to their plan of action aimed at orienting and guiding young people not to fall into the trap of these religious demagogues who have seduced, through their mendacious rhetoric, many youngsters by making them shirk their religion of Islam for fake religious precepts.

The committee members will a also launch a sensitization campaign among the youth population notably in the eastern province of Tizi Ouzou and elsewhere, to prevent youngsters from being lured by these “missionaries” who are seeking, unobtrusively, to deal a blow to the lofty religion of Islam in Muslim Algeria through their unbridled evangelisation campaign unleashed in several parts of the country.
