Algeria suicide bomber blew himself up after being shot: minister

Some other terrorist bombings are expected to happen in Algeria such criminal attacks are not effective and powerful due to weakness of terrorist acts, according to Algerian Interior Minister Nourredine Yazid Zerhouni.

• A terrorist attack targeted coast guards in Zemouri (east of Algiers) killing 8 on Saturday.
• “It is a revenge attack against the victory of the army which is working for Algeria’s future,” Zerhouni told Echorouk.
•  “It is an attempt to lift up the terrorists’ morale,” he added.

•  Zerhouni pointed out “great similarities between Tizi Ouzou attack and Saturday’s suicide bombing in Zemouri Port.” According to him, documents were found inside the suicide bomber’s car. “These documents are similar to those found inside the car bomb which was used in Tizi Ouzou attack.”
• The minister mentioned that the suicide bomber blew him up after he had been shot by a gendarme who caught him.
•  The car bomb was loaded with 200 to 300 kg of explosives.
