Algeria : suicide bomber’s son arrested

Security forces Sunday received Mokhtar, son of the suicide bomber who attacked the UN building in Algeria on December 11 after he had been expelled by Spain for illegal residence, reliable sources told Echorouk.

• Mokhtar left Algeria a week before his father Ibrahim Abu Othmane blew himself up at the UN agency. His mother told investigators he illegally migrated to Spain with some of his fellows and she had had no information on him since them.
• “Spain’s counter-migration authorities repatriated many illegal migrants including the Algerian 22-year-old Mokhtar. B,” said the same sources.
