Algeria : terrorist behind Bouira attack identified

According to revelations made by Mauritanians involved in the assassination of Mauritanian tourists, several of their fellow citizens are enlisted to carry out suicide attacks ordered by the leader of the “ Salafit Group for Call and Combat” , Abdelamalek Droudkel.

• Security sources revealed that the terrorist organization counts some 40 members operating in the second region and the ninth located at the borders of Mali and Niger.
• One of the main contenders for such attacks goes by the name of Sidina oueld khettari known as “Abi Zineb”, the main convict in the assassination of the French tourists revealed. In this respect, the communication cell of the terrorist organization posted a message in which it released the name of Abi Zineb Al Mauritani as being the mastermind of the terrorist attack that targeted a bus carrying Canadian firm employees in Bouira.
• The terrorist comes from a remote Mauritanian region called “Fourat” and joined the “salafit group for Call and combat” in late 2006 along with relatives with a view to carry out attacks in Algeria.
