Algeria : terrorists kill 2 soldiers, wound 17

Two soldiers were killed and 17 injured in an ambush yesterday laid by a terrorist group in locality of Jijel ( 250 km east of Algiers ), while a top officer walked away unhurt.

Seven soldiers whose arms and legs were ripped a, have been evacuated by helicopters to Constantine ‘s hospital. Meanwhile, 10 others lightly injured were admitted to the town’s hospital.

One of the injured soldiers was transported to the military hospital l here in Algiers , judging his case critical. He was shot to the head.

Reliable sources quoted by “Echourouk” reveal that the terrorists set an ambush in the locality of “Laaouana” 14 kilometers far from the main town, Jijel and launched grenades backed by gun shots at the military trail on its way to its barracks.

A wide scale combing operation is underway to flush out the terrorists who carried out that this attack.
