Algeria : terrorists kill two civilians inside mosque

Two civilians, Haroun Mohammed (26) and Haroun Ali (24) were yesterday savagely slain inside a mosque in the town of Al Oued (southern Algeria ) while they were praying by a terrorist group.

According to eye-witnesses asked by “Echourouk” few moments after the tragedy, two armed individuals, most probably from the same region, rushed in the praying room comprising more than 300 faithful, soon after the late prayer, and introduced themselves as security officers.

The men asked them to kneel down heads to earth, and then shouted at the Haroun Mohammed (city hall employee) and his cousin, Ali (jobless). Both men were rushed out to the mosque’s yard and handcuffed with electric wires to be shot dead to the head with two bullets each.

While the national gendarmerie denied to give further details on the matter, security experts for their part, expressed their concern and fear further terrorists acts in this region.

The impact of such an act could be disastrous on the town of Al Oued which is set to host the National Festival of Schools’ Songs as well as the coming of the band of “Ammar circus” in the town.

Worries reached their peaks to rumors that the terrorist group has is hiding in a working class area of Al Oued.
