Algeria to participate at the OPEC meeting in Vienna next Wednesday

Minister of Energy and Mines, Youçef Yousfi will participate at the 159th meeting of OPEC to be held next Wednesday in Vienna, the ministry’s statement said here on Monday.

 Same source added that the works of this meeting focus on “the evolution and status of the global oil market”.

Minister Youçef Yousefi will also participate in a televised debate on the theme of “energy security”, scheduled for Thursday in the Austrian capital.

OPEC production quotas, which include 12 countries and produce approximately 40% of the world’s oil, was set at 84.28 million barrels per day since January 2009 and may keep on the same production for the eighth time on Wednesday, according to observers.
