Algeria to provide 36.000 pilgrims with protective masks to ensure a healthy pilgrimage season
Algeria raised the number of its medical crew to accompany the Algerian pilgrims to the holy places to 124 doctors in line with the epidemiological developments in the world and the new Saudi medical plan to cover the health environment of the pilgrimage season 1430, as the Algerian medical mission is supported with additional specialists in epidemiology and infectious diseases and the internal medicine to ensure the health of the pilgrims, as well as providing each of them with 100 protective masks during there presence in the holy places.

Dr. Abdelkader Kennar, head of the Algerian Medical delegation to the holy sites and president of the local committees to monitor the health of the pilgrims told Echorouk that Algeria has officially decided to increase the number of doctors to accompany the pilgrims to 142.

The spokesman noted that the vaccination of 36.000 pilgrims and members of the delegation with the anti seasonal flu vaccine entered its final stage after the reception of the entire quantity of the vaccine from the international laboratories and that are specifically designed for pilgrims.

Algeria will provide all the 36.000 pilgrims with protective masks in order to avoid swine flu cases, as well as the infectious diseases that are transmitted through the air.
