Algeria to receive the frigate “Castle of Beni Abbas” from Italy in November 2014

Algeria is expected to receive a modern military naval frigate that is equipped with the latest technologies in this area on November 2014, as the construction and processing oprations currently in the workshops of the Italian company of engineering and marine systems “Orizzonte Sistemi Navali” in the region of Riva Trigozo (Genoa).

Italian media reported this weekend that a team of 130 Officials in the Algerian Naval services completed a special training in the center of the Italian Navy forces in Taranto (southern Italy), and this in order to gain necessary experience to lead the frigate of Algerian Navy forces “in the castle of Beni Abbas”, which is in the process of completion at the workshops of « Orizzonte Sistemi Navali”, which is a branch of the large Italian military and Navy industries and the Italian Navy forces “Cantieri Finn “in” La Spezia “in the north-west.

The future crew of the “Castle of Beni Abbas” will continue its training courses in Italy until May 2014, to leave it for a short period before returning to it next  November after receiving the frigate from the workshops of Riva Trigozo in “La Spezia” in November 2014, in order to receive training directly on board of the frigate.
