Algeria : top Tonic managers earn huge salaries without working

A statement of account issued by the rural bank for development reveals that some top managers in the giant group Tonic earn astronomic salaries ranging from 1,800 to 10,000 euros monthly, while the liquidator dismissed an employee with 2,000 euros as compensation.

• A bank transfer also reveals a sum of 33,900 euros was transferred to the personal account of the liquidator which represents a two months and half salary. A simple mathematic operation reveals that the salary of the liquidator is estimated at 15,000 euros a month, knowing that this one started working in the group since November 2007.
• For their parts, the group’s union’s representatives are complaining from the absence of the liquidator and two of his assistants since January 2008, which led them to face huge difficulties in treating pending matters.
