Algeria tourist agencies warn to work with foreign companies for Omra
Tourist agencies warned to make a deal with foreign airline companies to transport Omra pilgrims this year after Air Algerie raised the journeys price.

The agencies owners described the price raise on travel tickets to Saudi Arabia as “unjustifiable and meant to break the travel market.”
-
“Foreign airline companies offer lower prices and the aviation fuel did not jump. So, why this entire price raise?” said an agency owner.
-
Pilgrims’ representatives say the price of one single ticket constitutes 80 percent of the Omra fees while accommodation and transport represent 20 percent.

Omra season is expected to attain its climax starting from the next few days until April 30th, the Prophet’s birthday celebration. The fasting month of Ramadan is also known to be a busy period for Omra.
