Algeria : unions criticize the prices hike in hospitals

The new measures come against a backdrop of a difficult situation experienced by scores of chronic –ill people who didn’t receive their cards yet.
Several public health unions slashed at the hike of the bills issued in hospitals and clinics and considered it as first step to abandon free health care system in Algeria .
The new prices due to be implemented will vary from 50 to 250 Algerian Dinars for doctors and 100 to 350 for specialists as for the dentists the bill will move from 40 to 200 Algerian Dinars.
