Algerian authorities cancel night flights to Syria for security reasons
The Algerian airline company has yesterday cancelled all the night flights bound to the Syrian capital Damascus for safety reasons, security sources revealed. Meanwhile, “Air Algérie” booked 109 seats in 132 mostly for the Syrian refugees who saw the duration of their stay in Algeria expired.

Others preferred to comeback to their country because the situation in their native regions has improved since and some decided to return home after losing relatives in the military operations carried out by the Syrian legal army.

Reliable source have revealed to Echourouk that the Algerian flight company has reduced its flights to Syria to two since the outbreak of the crisis between the rebels and El Assad regime for security reasons.

Figures revealed that more than 30 Syrian refugees return home in each flight; and all the seats are booked.

On a security level, the company has mobilized security agents tasked with controlling all the passengers coming from Syria against the background of a huge proliferation of hand guns and the threat of smuggling them to the Algerian soil.

To recall, the Algerian authorities airlifted scores of refugees out of Syria to flee the troubles in this strife- torn country and dedicated makeshift centers to host them.
