Algerian authorities shift the interest to national operators

Talking during a meeting on Thursday with a delegation from a forum of Algerian top managers led by M. Reda Hamiani, the Algerian prime minister Ahmed Ouyahya stressed the importance that the Algerian authorities give to Algerian nationalistic operators in building “ a strong and diversified economy as part of the open market policy chosen by the country”.

• The prime minister added that the government expects from them to face play their role in fighting against parasites and foreign speculators under cover of foreign direct investments in Algeria.
• According to sources, the head of the government discussed for long hours with these operators the appropriate means to correct all the mistakes pointed out by the Algerian president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika in the occasion of his address before top officials last July.

• For their part, the delegation asked from the prime minister to provide them with further details concerning the future measures that the government intends to implement in the field of investment against the backdrop of harsh criticism launched by the Algerian president against the minister of industry who destructed the public sector regardless of the social and economic repercussions of his policy.
