Algerian authorities to carry out DNA expertise on Abu Zeid body

The ex Malian Minister for Foreign and Defence Affairs Somaylo Maiga has asserted that the Algerian authorities have received the body the terrorist tough to be the leader of “ Tarek- Ibn Ziad” squad known as “ Abdelhalmd Abu Zeid” in order to carry out DNA expertise on him with the view to confirming his identity.

Talking yesterday to Echouorouk, the ex Malian official has indicated that his country’s authorities have no further details concerning the killing of the leader of Al – Qaeda in the great desert billed by the French as “ Little Bin Laden” .

Maiga has indicated that the Malian authorities are waiting the for the results of the DNA expertise due to be carried out by their Algerian counterparts as part of the bilateral security cooperation, noting that the Chadian president has relied upon the data collected from his troops in Mali in his announcement about the killing of “ Abu Zeid”.

A top Algerian security official has declared to  Echourouk that the Algerian services have in their possession all the data related to the terrorist and will carry out DNA expertise without resorting to a member of his family.
