Algerian businessman Abdelmomen Khalifa to be extradited to Algeria

The British judge,Timothy Workma, from Westminister court has on Friday denied Abdelmoumen Khalifa’s lawyer request , which means that the British justice will accede to its Algerian counterpart request to extradite the min convict in the so called “the century’s affair”.

Westminister’ court was due to state on the affair in the beginning of April and give its final verdict concerning Abdelmounmen Khalifa, sentenced to life in absentia by the Algerian justice in March 2007.

To recall, the first appearance before the British court to pronounce on the Algerian request was on March 11, but several technical problems in relation to the dossier forced the judge to postpone the case to April.

The judge has fixed the date of April 24 to pronounce the date of the extradition of Abdelmoumen Khalifa to Algeria .
