Algerian businessman accused of embezzlement from Spain to Algerian terrorists

The chairman of the National Consultative committee for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, Farouk Ksentini slammed the Spanish authorities accusing them of charging Algerians living their unjustly.

  • When pleading yesterday in Oran (western Algeria) court, Farouk Kessentini   has indicated that the Spanish authorities were misleading the Algerian citizens by involving them in terrorist affairs.
  • The court of Oran yesterday started hearing the case of a businessman who used to travel from Spain to Oran regularly since the 1990s.An international arrest warrant, based on a document issued by the Spanish justice authorities, accusing him of taking part to a terrorist organization operating in Spain working for the “Salafit Group for Preaching and Combat”.
  • According to the Spanish authorities, this network used to burgle houses in Spain to collect money and transfer them to Algeria in order to finance terrorist activities.
  • The court has sentenced the culprit to 20 years imprisonment.
