Algerian coach fears climate conditions in Gambia

The Algerian football squad coach, Rabah Saadane declared that he was going to proceed to some changes in the team that will face Gambia next Saturday.

  • He hinted to the probability of adding another defender, Madjid Bouguerra, in addition to Antar Yahia and samir Zaoui to give more assurances to the team. The “Fenecs” will fly today at noon to Gambia on a special flight and is set to perform a training session on the central pitch on Friday. They will be homeward bound soon after the match.
  • The coach also said that he gave a week rest for his defender Nadir Belhadj to settle some personal problems which affected his performance during the previous match, adding that the player will join the team on Monday to take part in the return match against Gambia.
  • The match will take place in hard climate conditions with a temperature averaging 35° and high rate of humidity. These elements will affect the overall performance of the Algerian players, who most of them are used to pay in much more merciful weather conditions in Europe.
  • As to he striker, Rafik Djebbour, the coach declared that this one was little bit tired and didn’t decide yet if the Greek’s Paniounious’ player will take part in this match.
  • Saadane will give two days rest to his player pending the next round against the same squad her in Algiers, and was very optimistic regarding the outcome of the away match.
