Algerian customs bar the route for used goods
The Algerian customs tightened measures on the movement of the of the travellers in the port of Algiers through the ban of used clothes transported by the Algerian nationals abroad for health reasons, an officer at the customs services revealed to “Echouroukâ€.

The customs services launched an awareness campaign through the distribution of brochures to the first waves of immigrants at the port of Algiers, in which they forbid the import of used spare parts, used motorbikes, old furniture and all goods without an official permit as well as immoral products.

The immigrants have to declare the hard currency they have on their possession and are allowed to transport a limited quantity of cigarettes (250g) and a two litter bottle of alcohol.
