Algerian detainees in Libya denounce mistreatments
Two Algerian prisoners detained in the Libyan penitentiary institution “Al Djadida†are said to be in critical health conditions according to the professor Abdelamadjid Calvali. Both detainees are treated inside the prison’s clinic while being refused to be evacuated to the hospital.

As a solidarity gesture towards their ailing fellow citizens, the other Algerian detainees vowed to stitch their mouths and eyes.

Trying to get further details on the nature of this mysterious illness that killed three prisoners so far, the professor said that “the illness weakens the body and losses one’s consciousness”.

In order to prevent further inconveniences, the prison’s administration resorted to transfer both Ramdani Abdelhalim from Al oued (south-east of Algeria) and Achikh Zitouni to the prison of Tripoli to be transferred again to the prison of Benghazi, according to sources.
