Algerian Dockers to go on strike again
The Ports’ National Unions Coordination threatened to go on strike again and paralyse all the activities in case the transport minister, Ammar Tou, doesn’t access to their will organise a meeting with the view to discuss their social and economic problems.

The coordination denounced the minister’s indifference and his total disregard to the Dockers’ doldrums since his anointing on top of this sector.

During their Tuesday’s meeting, the Unions’ general secretaries focussed on two main points including the transfer of the maritime equipment to the hydrocarbon Shipping Company HYPROC, a company affiliated to the giant oil group Sonatrach.

The coordination reiterated its objection against the privatization of the Algerian ports, notably the managing of Algiers’ containers terminal by the emirates group “Dubai ports.”
