Algerian doctors denied entry to Gaza by the Egyptian authorities
According to “Echoroukâ€, the 15 Algerian doctors who moved to Gaza after the end of the Israeli strikes succeeded on Wednesday to penetrate the territories, but are facing an uncomfortable situation following an information forwarded by the Algerian embassy in Cairo saying that they were issued a 24 hour visa entry only.

The Algerian ambassador to Egypt, Abdelkader Hadjar, personally contacted the Egyptian authorities in order to facilitate the return of the Algerian delegation, but all efforts fell on a deaf ear.

This situation disappointed the Algerian doctors who found themselves stuck in the Egyptian town of “Al Aarich” waiting for another permission to join again Gaza, qualifying the situation there as disastrous and is deteriorating day after day.

The Algerian doctors arrived to the area last January, but were denied entry through “Rafah” passage by the Egyptian authorities along with other foreign delegations.

For their part, the doctors are calling for the Algerian authorities to intervene by their Egyptian counterparts in order to find a compromise and solve the problem at earliest.
