Algerian Education Minister warns of suing rumour promoters
Algerian Education Minister Abu bakr Ben Bouzid.

Algerian Education Minister Abu bakr Ben Bouzid said chiefs of correction centres in the country told his ministry that results of the baccalaureate 2008 would be honourable.

  • Ben Bouzid confirmed that the ministry does not have the preliminary rate of success at present.
  • For their part, some corrector teachers told Echorouk that the candidates’ answers were average. “More than 50 percent of the answers in mathematics especially for the old system got 50 percent of scores,” said Abderrezak Dhoufi, a mathematics teacher.
  • He added that answers in arts questions got the whole score.
  • Abu Baker Ben Bouzid warned to sue union activists if they continue sparking rumours on errors alleged to be noted in exam copies of the baccalaureate or BEM.
