Algerian employment Minister accuses two fellow ministers of undermining his employment strategy

Algerian employment Minister accuses two fellow ministers of undermining his employment strategy
Algerian Employment and Social Security minister Tayeb Louh.

The employment and social security minister Tayeb Louh has accused the minister of trade El Hachemi Djaaboub and the investment promotion minister Abdelhamid Temmar of putting a spoke in the wheel of the employment strategy worked out by his ministerial department.

Tayeb Louh firmly castigated the current all-out import policy which blocks the way, he said, to the full and smooth implementation of the employment strategy aimed at ensuring job opportunities for young jobless people.

He stressed that the ongoing investment promotion policy pursued by Hamid Temmar was highly questionable as it does not promote employment opportunities accordingly.

He cited as an example the ever-increasing vehicle import trade, which, he said, does not favour employment despite the huge costs incurred by such a thriving business.

He added, to his effect, that the sector of medicines import, which averages the sum of over 1 billion 300 euros a year, only costs money but is not conducive at all to the creation of jobs.

Tayeb Louh advocated, in this connection, that the all-out import policy should be restrained drastically with the injection, instead, of fresh and useful investments  nationwide  in order to spur the lethargic employment sector in the country.
