Algerian engineers divulge Schlumberger

A number of Algerian engineers threatened and separated from the multinational company Schlumberger operating in Algeria and specialized in oilfields, to resort to hunger strike as a silence fraction which surrounded excesses that have become exercised by the mentioned company against the best university tires and engineering fields elites rights, using expose and agreements with Sonatrach company regarding the organization of “ recruiting the Algerian tires in multinational companies “ set forth by the president.

•  He considered those engineers selection in the recruiting competition which took place mid last year from thousands of participants, a picture of slavery against the Algerian tires by using what is called “game rules”, where according to the letter addressed to the president and minister of energy and mines, those who were responsible of recruiting engineers in those competitions were keen to brutal exploitation during the trainings, after that they cancel their contracts with the company mentioned before reaching 6 months, as an evasion of compensation for the contract duration estimated at 12 months the two parties signed.

• As a sample picture described in the complaint as slavery, the engineers daily work hours is 12 instead of 8 hours, and the work period exceeded 10 weeks instead of 6 signed in the contract .They stated that all attempts to protest against these irregularities were facing threat of expulsion from work, because they decided to uncover and clarify things for the authorities, and they called upon the energy and mines minister to help them.
