Algerian FM Mourad Medelci: No further news about abducted diplomats
The Algerian Foreign Affairs Minister Mourad Medelci has yesterday denied allegations that he had fresh news about the Algerian diplomats kidnapped in Mali, limiting himself to recall the communiqué released by his ministry where the hostages called on the president Bouteflika to save their lives.
Talking on the sidelines of the parliamentarian sessions, the minister has avoided giving further information about the kidnapped diplomats saying to the journalists” There is nothing new concerning the abducted diplomats”.
Medelci has also denied the existence of any form of conflict between Morocco and Algeria over the borders’ issue, while several MPs have yesterday warned him against the Moroccan expansionist plans.
The minister has dwelt on the issue of the borders with Morocco while negotiations with Libya are evolving positively in the wake of the intensive visits of the officials from both sides.
Medelci declined commenting the events that swept through the Arab world , contending that the Algerian standpoint is quite clear on the issue which consists in the non interference in the countries’ domestic affairs.
