Algerian Football Association mired in a scandal
The tug of war between the head of the Algerian football Association and the football club of Kouba (Algiers) in the so called “Kouba case†is still hitting the headlines pending a final untying.

The Algerian football ruling body will face the biggest difficulties to deal with the situation, because the rehabilitation of the club will suppose that the federation will adapt a new timetable which implies a whole reshuffle in the competition’s program, so is the case if the club remains in the second league. So far the club missed 7 fixtures.

-
The club has staunchly rejected the idea of taking part to the second league’s competition and even laughed off the federation’s advice to start the competition at this level.

While the head of the federation stuck to his decision to keep the club in the second league, otherwise he will step down; the International Football association’s court for its part has ruled in favour of the club and decided to rehabilitate it. In this respect, this court ordered the Algerian federation to immediately integrate the club to the first league and adapt the timetable accordingly.

By and large, the federation is embroiled in another conflict which stretches a lengthy list of previous scandals that dimmed the glorious image of the Algerian football.
