Algerian football team to play Libya today at kolea stadium
The Algerian football squad made up exclusively of local players will today play against their Libyan counterparts in the away match counting for the qualifiers to the African Championship of local players at Kolea stadium ( Algiers outskirts).

The players are resilient to take on the challenge versus the Libyan squad who moved to Algeria with their first team in a move to beat the Algerians and prove that their disqualification in the last African Cup of Nations tournament in Angola was part of history. For their part, the Algerian players will try to make a good showing in a bid to reassert the value of the local players and prove to the reluctant that they are fit to play alongside the professionals.

Many consider this double confrontation crucial for the Algerian players because a setback will reinforce many experts’ assertions that local players are not the match of the professionals, and that the strategy followed by the national head coach Rabah Saadane who relies mostly on the players who evolve in the European Leagues was the right one.

-
Amid an atmosphere full of resiliency, the players and their coach Benchikha will get on the pitch with the sole idea of disclaiming those who belittled their intrinsic values, knowing that the coach has insisted on the psychological preparation of his players.

-
Saadane encourages them in his own way.

The presence of the head coach Rabah Saadane on the bleachers the day of the match will be another source of motivation for the players who will do their utmost to attract his interest and secure a berth with the Algerian national squad for the upcoming World Cup tournament in South Africa.

However, the task will not be easy versus a Libyan squad according to the coach Abdelhak Benchikha “ Our task will not be easy if we consider the good performances of the Libyan side during the last African Cup of Nations’ qualifiers… It’s true that they didn’t qualify to this tournament but they didn’t lose any match if not the goal average that played in favour of the Gabonese squad; this gives an idea about the real value of this team. The match is a Maghreban “Derby” where it’s difficult to predict the winner”.

Although he didn’t disclose the list of the starting line-up, Abdelhak Benchikha has already picked up the players as he chose to rely on the goalkeeper Zemamouche, and the defenders: Rabie Meftah, Adel Maiza, Reda Babouche and Laifaoui; Metref, Hadj Aissa, Bougueche and Djalit are likely to start the match awaiting the two remaining posts will be wrenched by both Messaoud and Ghezali.
