Algerian Government allocates 65,000 new jobs for unemployed

Algerian government has officially decided to allocate a total of 65,385 new jobs for the unemployed in line with the new regulations contained in the new law of finance for the year 2008.

Over 20 thousand new jobs will be assigned to the interior and local Assemblies Ministry while the 35 thousand or so others will be shared between the Ministries of health, finance, education and scientific research as well justice and religious affairs.

The recipients of these new jobs will benefit from a 15 percent salary hike as from 2009 as part of a financial package estimated at 876 billion dinars.

Under the new finance law, 98 percent of the additional job opportunities, which have secured the official seal, will be taken charge of as early as 2009.
