Algerian government contemplates setting up of new socio-medical facilities for poor segments of population.
The government council seeks to ease the heavy burden weighing on Algeria’s hospitals.

A government council is to examine Tuesday ways of facilitating the creation of new socio-medical facilities destined to take in charge poor and destitute sections of the Algerian population.

An executive decree is expected to be adopted by the government council which is seeking through the setting up of these new structures, to ease the heavy burden weighing on the country’s hospitals.

The hospitals have so far failed to deal with the enormous daily influx of patients with most of them seeking proper medical care, free of charge, owing to their precarious social condition.

These new socio-medical structures will be exclusively devoted to receiving the poor and the destitute as well as the handicapped people who are often jolted from one place to another despite their physical disability.

The upcoming executive decree will also set new regulations and conditions for the creation and running of kindergartens devoted to small children left at the care of babysitters by parents during their working hours.
